About Us

Paradigm Housing Group was established in April 1999 and provides a wide range of housing and support services throughout the South, East Midlands and West London.

However at its core, the group has been involved in social housing since 1989; Paradigm Homes (formerly Chiltern Hundreds) Charitable Housing Association Ltd was the first large-scale stock transfer to take place in the country. The Group also includes Paradigm Commercial plc, Paradigm Maintenance Limited and Paradigm Development Services Limited.

The Group has a turnover of £77.3 million (2009/10 £72.6m) and total net assets of £713 million (2009/10 £725 m).

Our 440 staff currently manage 12,109 homes (2009/10 11,727). In September 2010, we took over our maintenance contract services from Connaught (who had gone in to administration) and transferred 160 staff to a new subsidiary, Paradigm Maintenance Limited. Paradigm is more than just a housing provider, it provides a range of care and support services to just under 25,000 people. Our stock portfolio contains a diverse mix of tenures including; affordable rent, shared-ownership, key worker housing, foyer accommodation, supported housing and some private rental.

Paradigm has retained its preferred development partner status after having its four-year development offer accepted by the HCA This means that we will continue to provide new affordable properties to meet the current acute shortage of homes. Our housing development programme is expected to yield approximately 500 properties in the coming year.

Paradigm is committed to developing sustainable homes and communities that have minimal impact on the environment. Birchway eco-community in Hayes, for local people on Hillingdon's housing register, has been completed and has won several awards. This is the first large-scale affordable housing project to attain Code Level 5 for Sustainable Homes in London and in the south. All our developments meet Code Level 3 and several large schemes are built to Level 4.

We are certified members of the QHS (Quality Housing Services) scheme, a proud member of Respect, Stonewall, part of the national housing association project iN business and we were the first English-based company to join the Happy to Translate initiative. Paradigm has attained the construction industry's Client Charter Status and we were recognised as a 1* organisation in Best Companies 2010.
