Hostel accommodation

Lea Bridge House provides accommodation for 142 single people with low support needs, recommended by the local authority or homeless charities. Fifteen spaces are specifically reserved for women. The accommodation comprises of fully furnished bed-sits in a tower block, with shared kitchen and bathroom on each floor. A communal garden and reading room is also available to tenants.

Staff will fully support tenants and signpost them to support agencies for employment and training needs. After six months most residents are able to move on to other more permanent accommodation, through our highly successful ‘Move On’ scheme. The scheme, set up in 2009, has a network of landlords offering studios and flats. We will recommend tenants to them if they have paid their rent regularly and have no anti-social issues. We will also write to the local authority on the tenants behalf, asking for local housing allowance to be paid directly to the landlord.

We expect the referral agency to complete the application form on behalf of their client and provide proof of ID and income. If there are no vacancies, we operate a waiting list. For more information please contact us directly at:
