Family facing homelessness
09 January 2012
A family facing eviction from their home just before Christmas found somewhere to live, thanks to Paradigm. Gemma Brannan and her two daughters, Ellie-Jade, 12, and Alana-May, nine, had just two months to move and find a new home they could afford in the local area.
The family home was one of eight properties in North Road, Hayes, that was to be sold.
Gemma and her two girls, who all suffer from a potentially fatal heart condition called Long QT Syndrome, which casues the heart can beat irregularly in response to stress or exercise. The family doctor recommeded priority housing for the Brannans, but this was rejected by Hillingdon Council.
The family finally viewed a Paradigm property in Greatfields Drive, Uxbridge and moved in the following day.
