Make savings on your energy bills

Are you worried about staying on top of your bills? If money's tight, there is help available. There are grants to insulate your home and you can shop around for a cheaper deal and much more.

Alot of people aren't taking advantage of free or discounted loft insulation deals. According to the Government around 9.6 million homes don't have good enough loft insulation and about 7.8 million haven't got enough cavity wall insulation.

Loft and cavity wall insulation can typically knock £120 from energy bills each year. Get in touch with your energy supplier and find out if you are eligible. Many of them offer insultation at a discounted rate or free of charge.

Contact your supplier to check you are on the best tariff and payment method for your circumstances. You could make huge savings on energy bills by shopping around. On average it is £100 cheaper per year to pay by monthly direct debit than paying by cash or cheque. As well as contacting your supplier you could visit an accredited switching website to see if you could get your energy cheaper elsewhere. You may be able to save up to £200 a year off your bill by shopping around for a different supplier.

Remember you can get help if you aren't able to pay your energy bills. Contact your energy supplier immediately and they can help you manage your bills in a way that you can afford. Always contact your energy supplier as soon as you realise you might have trouble with paying. Debts will build-up and be harder to pay off the longer you leave them.
