Section 20 energy dispensation
You may have recently received a letter from us regarding the changes we are making to the way we buy energy for the communal areas of your property, and in some cases your personal energy supply, which you contribute to via your service charge. We told you that we would be looking to secure an energy contract and fix the prices for up to five years so we could get the best possible value for money.
To do this, we had to apply to the Property Tribunal to dispense with the usual consultation requirements in Section 20 Landlord and Tenant Act 1985. Our solicitors, Clarke Willmott LLP, have made this application to the Tribunal.
