A brighter future for Danielle and Martin

Posted on the 4th March 2020

Danielle, Martin and their two children received the keys to their brand-new home in Chesham after a ten-year wait. The two-bedroom house will provide much needed extra space for the family, as well as a lovely garden – something they didn’t have in their previous flat. Whilst Martin is looking forward to family barbecues in summer, their oldest daughter Lilly has already asked for a trampoline.

“I’ve been obsessively watching the house being built brick by brick ever since I found out we were getting it!” said Martin, an Insurance Engineer. “It’s one hell of an upgrade for us. Paradigm has been great with helping us to move and couldn’t have been more helpful.”

Their new home is a two-bedroom end terrace with a fully fitted kitchen, downstairs cloakroom and large family bathroom in a lovely area.

The two-bedroom house is part of a small development of six houses, four for affordable rent and two for shared ownership. They are built on the site of a disused play area and a former row of run-down garages owned by Paradigm. Their house is part of our project to redevelop garage sites in the Chiltern area into new homes. By building on this land we are providing new affordable homes in a high price area for families who need them most.

Khalid, Housing Officer, said “Signing people up for new builds is a really nice part of the job, it’s great to see how happy people are when moving into their new homes and looking forward to their futures.”
