Celebrating Rural Housing Week with new homes in Oxfordshire

Posted on the 7th July 2021

This week we are celebrating Rural Housing Week which showcases the great work housing associations do by providing affordable housing in rural communities to keep them alive and thriving.

We are proud of our rural development of a 3.5-acre site at Oak Farm Drive in Milcombe, in Oxfordshire. 23 new affordable rent and 17 shared ownership homes are being built in partnership with Living Space Housing.

The homes will have air source heat pumps installed to provide future residents with sustainable, cost-saving heating technology.

Construction work is well underway on the scheme and the first homes will be ready for people to move in to before the end of November 2021.

Becky King, Head of Land and New Business, said: “We are always looking for opportunities to provide new homes in areas that lack affordable housing, such as in this historic and picturesque part of North Oxfordshire.

“We are especially pleased that the homes will be installed with air source heat pumps, which will deliver cost-savings for our future residents.”
