Frozen condensate pipe

As the temperature is set to drop below zero again tonight, if you hear a noisy rumbling boiler or have no heating or hot water, it may be a frozen condensate pipe.

If your condensate pipe is frozen, try pouring warm water onto the external pipe which leads from the boiler. See the picture to find out what to look for.

Please note that some condensate pipes are internal and in this case, our repairs ream would need to attend.
