Homes at the Heart of a stronger economy

Posted on the 3rd August 2020

Now more than ever, we must prioritise ensuring everyone has a safe, secure and comfortable place to call home. It’s time to put #HomesAtTheHeart of our social and economic recovery. By investing in social housing and building 90,000 new social rented homes, £4.8bn would be added to the national economy and 86,000 jobs would be supported.

Our Caleb Close development in Luton is providing 224 new homes for those who need them most. The development will create 21 two-bedroom houses and 20 three-bedroom houses together with 75 one-bedroom apartments and 108 two-bedroom apartments and will provide a mix of affordable rent and shared ownership tenures.

Our most recent handover of shared ownership houses during lockdown takes the total number of completed homes to 81. The remaining 143 new homes are at various build stages and will be ready in phases between now and January 2021.

Working with Key Partnership Homes, we are supporting jobs in the local area and boosting the local economy, as well as providing good quality homes.
