Mental health support for residents

Posted on the 27th September 2021

Paradigm Housing Group has donated £25,813 to Hertfordshire Mind, in conjunction with the Rothschild Foundation, who have contributed an additional £10,000 to the charity.

This scheme will support Paradigm residents in Chesham, Amersham and the surrounding areas, as well as Hertfordshire, who may be struggling with mental health problems, and will benefit over 7,000 households.

Hertfordshire Mind delivers essential mental health support in Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas, providing a diverse range of services from their seven Wellbeing Centres across the county. The service provides short-term advice, information and support, and assistance during situations that may take longer to resolve. It is available to all residents in Hertfordshire over the age of 18, with dedicated services for 10-18 year olds.

Paradigm Board Member and Chair of the Paradigm Grants Committee Pat Brandum commented: “We are pleased to be working with Herts Mind to fund this initiative to support our households. The project is designed to help our residents across Herts and the former Chiltern District area with one-to-one support and advice for their mental health. This is needed now more than ever due to the impact of the pandemic on mental health.”

Danielle Levy, Services Manager at Herts Mind Network said: “Our Community Support Service will provide one-to-one holistic outreach support to Paradigm residents in Hertfordshire who may be facing mental ill health. We will be supporting people to resolve financial difficulties, drug and alcohol issues, housing problems and providing help with family issues where children’s services may be involved.”
