Covid-19: our next steps

We have been working on plans for how we can reinstate some of the services we provide to our residents in ways which ensure we follow Government guidance to work safely, both for our residents and our staff.

As you know, we have been continuing to carry out emergency repairs and gas checks in a safe way and we are still doing this. We are now looking at how and when we can reinstate non-emergency services – we must make sure we can make it as safe as possible for you and your household and safe for our employees before we begin doing non-urgent work.

If you have called us about a non-urgent repair we have logged this and there is no need to call us again. We will let you know when we start to do this type of work.

If you have a non-urgent repair and haven’t called us yet please bear with us a bit longer. We have a lot of repairs to get through and are still only booking emergency repairs. We will let you know when this changes.

We are continuing to follow all the guidance set out by the government.

What can you do to stay safe?

  • Please observe 2 metre social distancing if one of our engineers or member of staff enters your home.
  • Please let us know before we visit if anyone in your home is self-isolating or displaying symptoms. This includes a loss of taste or smell which has been added to the list of symptoms which should lead you to self-isolate.

The Minister of State for Housing has published a letter to all social housing residents setting out the government’s next steps in relation to COVID-19 as they affect social housing residents and you can find it here.

We can assure you that we are working to all the guidance detailed in this letter.
