Paradigm announces appointment of new board member

Paradigm Housing Group is delighted to announce the appointment of new board member John Simpson.

John, a former chair of Sovereign Housing Association and its Treasury Committee, brings over 30 years’ experience in the banking and finance sectors.

“We are delighted that John is joining us,” says Chair of the Paradigm Board, David Easson. “I am confident his experience will positively complement the collective skills and experience of our existing board members to help us realise our ambitious plans for the future.

“Despite the challenges facing the sector, this is a very exciting time to be joining Paradigm. I would like to welcome John and I am looking forward to working with him.”

John’s career has included roles as Chief Executive of Den Norske Bank’s (‘DNB’) UK and Asia-Pacific operations. Previously he was in charge of DNB’s Treasury and Forex activities in London.

John is currently a Director of Marine Capital and is a Non-Executive Director and chair of the Audit Committee of Awilco Drilling plc.

“I am excited to be joining the Paradigm Board and very much look forward to working with my new colleagues” says John, “ Housing Associations have a hugely important role in providing homes for people in need – that includes existing residents and potential future residents. Paradigm has an ambitious programme to develop new affordable homes and I am keen to play in my part in
implementing these plans.”
