Anti-social behaviour (ASB) can have a serious impact on people’s lives. We understand how upsetting and stressful it can be, especially when it affects your home or your sense of safety.
When you report ASB to us, we take it seriously. We review the information, speak to those involved and look at what action we can take. In some cases, this may include warnings, support interventions, working with partner agencies or taking legal action.
To help you better understand our ASB process, we’ve created a new video that explains what our Community Safety team do, and you can expect from us when you report ASB, using noise levels as an example.
We made this video to be open and clear about the process. We want residents to understand what we can do, what we cannot do, and why some cases take time.
You can also check out our online ASB Toolkit here, to find out more about what we can do, what you can do, and what other agencies can do when it comes to dealing with ASB.
