We’re proud to share that we are working towards becoming a ‘Pledge Pioneer’ as part of the LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge – a national commitment to making housing safer and more welcoming for LGBTQ+ people.
The pledge, created by HouseProud and Stonewall Housing, was set up after research showed that many LGBTQ+ residents in social housing didn’t always feel safe, included, or treated equally. We want to help change that.
What we’re doing
Over the next year, we’ll be:
- Listening to LGBTQ+ residents and making sure your voices are heard at board level
- Checking our policies to make sure they meet the needs of LGBTQ+ residents
- Working with residents to create an action plan to tackle key issues
- Supporting events and activities that celebrate LGBTQ+ communities and increase visibility
- Bringing staff and residents together to share experiences and ideas

We’ll be setting up a new Staff and Resident LGBTQ+ Network to help guide this work. More information on how you can get involved will be shared soon.
