Great news for residents! Paradigm has been awarded almost £5 million in government funding to help improve the energy efficiency of our homes. Over the next three years, we will match this funding with an additional £5.4 million, bringing our total investment to £10.1 million. This money will go towards making homes warmer, reducing energy bills, and cutting carbon emissions.
The improvements will include a range of energy-saving upgrades, such as:
- Loft, cavity, and external wall insulation
- New windows and doors
- Solar panels
- Air source heat pumps
- Upgraded heating systems
These changes will help our residents stay comfortable in their homes while also making them more affordable to heat. Plus, using less energy means a smaller carbon footprint, which is better for the planet.
Paradigm secured this funding as part of the Thriving Communities Consortium, a group of housing providers and local councils working together to improve homes on a larger scale. This funding is part of the government’s Warmer Homes initiative, aimed at making social housing more energy-efficient. In the coming months, we will begin planning and carrying out these upgrades for our customers. Stay tuned for more updates as we make homes warmer, greener, and more cost-effective to run!
