Recruitment at SettleParadigm

Deciding to embark on a new career, change jobs or even return to the workplace is a big decision, and we want our recruitment process to be a two-way street. If you have questions, we are here to answer them so you can decide if SettleParadigm and the role you’re applying for are right for you. We’ve put together some frequently asked questions to support you through the application and interview process. If you have any further questions, drop an email to Recruitment@ParadigmHousing.co.uk

Frequently asked questions:

It is really easy! For most roles you just need to submit a CV and add a short supporting statement outlining why your skills and experience match the essential and desired criteria for the role. For some roles we may add in specific questions to help you share your experience. We’ll also ask you to add in some personal details so we can contact you about your application and complete a confidential Equality, Diversity & Inclusion form – the data for which helps us monitor our performance against our EDI objectives.

If there is a job which you are interested in, click the Apply Now link and get started! Our vacancies tend to be live for several weeks, but if we have an overwhelming response to an advert we might close them early, so don’t delay!

Every application is acknowledged upon receipt before being reviewed by one of our recruitment team. Applications which meet the minimum criteria for the role are then submitted to the hiring manager for review. The hiring manager will look at both the supporting statement/answers to essential questions and the CV for skills or experience which match the essential and desired criteria for a role. Candidates who match the criteria will then be invited for interview. If you don’t quite match the criteria, you’ll be notified as soon as possible. On occasion, it might be that we have a more suitable role for you elsewhere in the business. If this is so, our recruitment team will be in touch to discuss the alternative role with you.

A SettleParadigm interview is an opportunity for us to get to know each other better. We appreciate interviews can be nerve-wracking, we’ve all been in that seat, and we want to make you feel as relaxed as possible.

We’ll always start with hellos and introductions before outlining how the interview will work. We’ll likely start with asking you why you applied for the role and what strengths or experience you might bring to it if you were successful. Then we’ll ask you some competency or strengths-based questions relating to the essential or desired criteria noted in the job description, or questions that ask you how you may have demonstrated our values in a previous role.

There will be a chance for you to ask us questions too. As an example, some candidates ask about the wider team or directorate structure, our benefits or progression opportunities.

Towards the end of the interview, we’ll go through the next steps, including when you might expect to hear from us next.

The short answer is – slightly! We will still invite you to an interview, where you will talk through your experience and be asked to give examples of where you may have offered excellent customer service, managed a difficult situation or other competency-based questions relating to the role.

If you are successful at interview stage, we’ll also invite you to a skills test which allows you to demonstrate practical skills and knowledge relating to the role you’ve applied for before we make a final decision.

At application stage we will let you know if you are unsuccessful, but unfortunately, we can’t offer feedback as we get a lot of interest in each role.

If you’ve had an interview, we’ll always let you know the decision as soon as possible and will offer specific feedback to you directly.

Whatever your query, we’re happy to help answer it.
