Residents move into new homes at Springett Place, Amersham

Posted on the 24th April 2018

Residents are due to move into a development of seven new homes at Springett Place, Amersham, Bucks this week.

The original properties on this site were early 1960s homes made of non-standard concrete. The properties didn’t meet energy efficiency standards and so were demolished and new homes built.

Handed over by contractors Key Partnership Homes Ltd last week, Springett Place consists of seven homes – two one-bedroom flats, two two-bedroom houses, and three three-bedroom houses, all for affordable rent. Key Partnership Homes will also be constructing Caleb Close in Luton on behalf of Paradigm in the near future.

Springett Place is located in a semi-rural location on the edge of Amersham and will provide high quality homes and an excellent living environment.

The properties are without gas, so hot water is generated by an air source heat pump, with electric heating.

Originally the homes were going to be built for shared ownership and outright sale, however, as a result of funding from Homes England and Chiltern District Council, the tenure for all seven units was changed to affordable rent.

Julia Harrington, Regional Head of Development, said: “Springett Place is the culmination of some superb work from our development team. We are delighted to welcome the new residents who are moving in this week.”
