Working closely with tenants

We’re pleased to support Together with Tenants, an initiative by the National Housing Federation (NHF) to help housing associations build stronger relationships with their customers.

The initiative, which was launched last month, has four actions for housing associations to adopt:

1. A new requirement in the National Housing Federation Code of Governance for boards to be accountable to residents.
2. A new Together with Tenants Charter setting out what can expect from their housing association.
3. Resident oversight and scrutiny of the charter, with a report on how their landlord is doing against the charter commitments.
4. A closer link with regulation.

Paradigm was an early adopter of the plan and we have undertaken a self-assessment with customers and staff against the Together with Tenants Charter which sets out in clear terms what residents can expect from their landlord on five key themes, Relationships, Communications, Voice and Influence, Accountability and Quality.

We have already started to bring to life the commitments and our Resident Services Panel has agreed to make sure we are upholding our commitment and will report back to customers on progress.
