A life changing move for Linda

Posted on the 19th January 2021

We are delighted to welcome Linda and her two children Callum and Joshua to their new home in Bedfordshire.

Linda moved into her brand new three-bedroom house just in time for Christmas and is delighted with her new home.

“A month on we’ve managed to settle in very well, it has changed our lives for the better. My 17-year-old loves to go for his jogs, and my little boy loves his bike rides to the shops,” commented Linda, “I can’t thank Paradigm Housing enough for the change it has brought to our lives.

“It was very easy and straight forward to move in. The housing and letting teams were always available to discuss any issues over the phone. They were extremely helpful.

“Me and my children were so very happy – it made our Christmas this year and with the current pandemic, moving into our new home lightened our spirits. Thank you again.”

Linda’s new home is located in the village of Cranfield, near to Cranfield Airport, and will add to the 730 homes we already have in the Central Beds Council District. The properties are being built under a s106 Agreement with Bloor Homes and we will eventually have a total of 31 homes, 23 for rent and eight for shared ownership.

Linda’s home completes phase two which consists of four houses, one shared ownership and three for rent (two and three beds). When finished there will be a mix of one and two bed maisonettes and two-four bed houses, all set amongst other private homes. The properties are of traditional brick and block design, each with one or two car parking spaces.

As part of the development, there are plans to build facilities such as a new doctor’s surgery and a football pitch with associated buildings. Being near to an airport, care has to be taken not to plant any trees that could grow high enough to interfere with a plane’s flight path and no trees bearing fruit or berries which would attract birds to the area are allowed.
