Chilterns Dial-a-Ride say thanks to Paradigm Foundation

Posted on the 16th August 2018

Chilterns dial-a-ride has thanked the Paradigm Foundation for a £7,000 grant towards a new minibus.

The brand new minibus was delivery in July complete with Foundation branding and was put to use the very next morning.

The Chilterns Dial-a-Ride charity provides an affordable, accessible and safe transport service for people living in the Chiltern District who due to age, illness or disability are not able to either use their own transport or public transport. The door-to-door round trip service provides specially equipped vehicles will full wheelchair access and trained caring volunteer drivers.

David Ouvry, Chairman of The Chilterns Dial-a-Ride commented: “Your timely award enabled us to complete the purchase of the new minibus. The new bus replaces a now old vehicle that was worn out after years of toiling up and around the Chiltern Hills. More importantly, it comes with some useful improvements. Users now benefit from a tail lift, air conditioning and more space for larger or even two wheelchairs at a time. Many thanks to Paradigm Foundation once again.”

Paradigm Foundation helps to improve the lives of those living in the area that the Paradigm Housing Group covers. In fact, we’ve helped out hundreds of individual Paradigm residents and community groups, contributing over £1 million to local initiatives in the process.
