Plus Plus Subject Access Requests and Freedom of Information Requests

As a social housing provider we are not bound by, or subject to,  the Freedom of Information Act so do not respond to requests for information under this law. However, if we control or process your personal data in any way, you do have the right to make a Subject Access Request relating to your personal data. This means confirmation of the personal data we are processing and copies of that personal data where we are reasonably able to provide it. If you would like to make a Subject Access Request, please call us on 0300 303 1010 or email us at SubjectAccessRequests@ParadigHousing.co.uk

We may refuse to provide the information if an exemption or restriction applies, or if the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive. We will tell you if this is the case

If we can respond, we will usually do so within one calendar month of receiving the request but may extend the time limit if the request is complex. We will tell you if this is the case.  We may also ask you for further information to help us find the information you have requested. We will make reasonable efforts to search for the requested information, provide it in an accessible and intelligible format and send it to you securely. We will not conduct searches that would be unreasonable or disproportionate to the importance of providing access to the information.

Plus Plus Responding to your data protection requests or queries

If you have a query about how we use your personal data that is not covered in our privacy notice, please call us on 0300 303 1010 or email us on ContactUs@ParadigmHousing.co.uk

Please also call or email us (using the number or email address above) if you need us to correct, change or complete your personal information.

In addition to the above, if we control or process your personal data in any way, you have the right to make certain requests. These rights do not apply in all instances as they depend on why we are holding or processing your data. However, they may include the right to:

  • ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances
  • ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances
  • object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances
  • ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us (to enter into a contract with us) to you, or another organisation.

You do not have to pay for any of the above and we will respond to your request within 30 days. We will also tell you if we are unable to meet your request in cases where the right does not apply.
