Plus Plus Physical assault

This is a criminal offence and must be reported to the police immediately. You should inform us on 0300 303 1010, and let us know if it involves a Paradigm customer. Please contact us with the details of the incident, the police incident number and the officer’s name. We will then decide whether action can be taken by us.

Plus Plus Threat or fear of assault

Report threats to the police on 999 if you feel at risk. You should let us know if it involves a customer on 0300 303 1010.

Plus Plus Gun or knife crime

Ownership of weapons could be a criminal offence and should be reported to the police immediately, you must also let them know if you are concerned about your safety.

There may be times when ownership of a gun is permitted however, you should notify the police so they can investigate thoroughly and check that the owner is allowed to have this weapon. Even if a gun is legally owned they should never be on display or used to threaten a person(s).

After reporting the matter to the police, please contact us with the incident report number and the officer’s name so we can make contact with them and work with them and agree the next steps with you and the police.

Plus Plus Argument with a neighbour

This may not be considered antisocial behaviour depending on the content of the argument. You should report this to your Customer and Neighbourhood Officer in the first instance.

You may be asked to take part in mediation with your neighbour.  Mediation is an informal, confidential and independent service available to help neighbours sort out their differences and reach an agreement to move forward.  Mediation services can help you and your neighbour(s) understand each other’s point of view and find a solution.  Please contact us and we will refer you, this service is free to Paradigm customers.

Other actions may be considered if the arguments continue however, it is important to remember that we expect all their residents to be respectful and considerate of their neighbours at all times.

Plus Plus Swearing and abuse

Swearing may not be considered antisocial behaviour depending where the swearing is happening or, whom it is directed to. You should report this to your Customer and Neighbourhood Officer.

Try speaking with your neighbour in the first instance, explain that you can hear them swearing and that you find it disturbing/offensive. They may not realise the impact their language is having on you.
